What does everyone think of the new SJUSD schedule?

It may have seemed like a short summer because it actually was. What do you think of the new school schedule of starting early and ending early? I have a son at Hoover Middle School and I am hoping that the rumors that testing will be before Christmas are true! It takes a little time to gear up after break and the prospect of testing one week after break is discouraging to say the least.
