Beautifying Humanity - Makeover Contact
Alchemy Hair Studios & Spas in Willow Glen is sponsoring a makeover contest titled “Beautifying Humanity, One Inspiration At A Time”.
If somebody has touched your life or the life of somebody you know, please read Sherry of Alchemy Hair Studios message below and nominate that person as a token of well deserved appreciation.
“We’re very blessed to be a part of Willow Glen and look forward to offering services to folks that are mindful and a dedicated to community involvement.” said Sherry McGuire. The team at Alchemy Hair Studios and Spas, working with an excited collective of Willow Glen businesses, are asking local residents to nominate their heros who should be celebrated and pampered! Nominees include residents who have generously touched lives through kindness and care.
"We hope to help folks celebrate someone who has worked selflessly by making a difference in the community and deserves some pampering and public gratitude.”, said McGuire. “We think beauty on the outside should compliment beauty on the inside.”, said Gail Rieg, co-chair of the event. “Our goal is to give a gift to someone whois mindful of others.” Alchemy’s contest will run with the assistance of select Willow Glen merchants from March 3 - April 3, 2009.
Twenty (20) semi-finalists will be announced on April 7. Fans, family and friends are then invited to vote by ballot bringing the finalists down to 10 local heros, by popular vote. A person may vote up to 15 times, collecting one (1) official ballot from each participating merchant. Winners will be published online at www.alchemyhairstudio.com in local newspapers on April 18. Prizes include the following Makeover packages and a gift basket from participating Willow Glen merchants.

All applications must be received by April 3, 2009 by post to Alchemy Hair Studios & Spas, 1047 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125 or fax: 408/624-1220. Nominees must be 18 or older and must reside in Santa Clara County where they have helped to better the lives of fellow residents. Our twenty (20) Semi-finalists will be posted at www.alchemyhairstudio.com and local newspapers, and the community may then vote for the ten (10) finalists between April 1 - April 15. Based on those results, ten recipients will be chosen on April 21. Finalists will be revealed Tuesday, April 28 at the Vin Santo Restaurant, in downtown Willow Glen, San Jose.
