I am all about community safety and education. I am interested in doing a few Neighborhood Watch meetings to get the ball rolling in various areas of Willow Glen.
Please let me know if you have any interest and I can help you get started (or I can do it for you).
Best,
Holly Barr

I'd be in. Also, we've got a discussion forum here that allows us to track Neighborhood Watch incidents around WG. If you know of something that's happened that you think our neighbors should know about, please post it here:
Hello Chris,
The way I understand a neighborhood watch working is it is basically a few blocks that have organized neighbors who watch out for each other and call with any suspicious activities. I will be looking more into the process over the next few weeks and let you know how we can make this work and get it rolling.
Thanks for your support!
Best,
Holly
To request a NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH, call Crime Prevention at (408) 277-4133. The Crime Prevention Specialist who represents the area of San Jose in which you live will work with you to schedule the meeting date (usually at least four to six weeks notice is required). Invitation notices will be sent to you to distribute to your neighbors.
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH meetings are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings AT 7:00 P.M. and last approximately 2 hours. At least TEN homes must be represented in order for the meeting to take place. Most meetings are held in your home or at a neighborhood facility.
I think this is a wonderful idea ...... but for all areas of Willow Glen and most important downtown Lincoln ( that if you notice is being the target fo graffiti attacks ALOT more in the last year )
