Willow Glen 2.0

For those of you who attended Music in the Glen,

I know that some of you have asked aobut our Kiwanis Member who was taken to the Hostipal.
Jim is home and is doing well.

He suffer a stroke and blood clots to his brain.
Sounds bad, it was scary.

But after 2 weeks Jim is now home and doing well
See the not from his wife. below.

Thanks for you concern.
Michael

Hooray!.
After a week of getting Jim's blood chemistry under control, along with a recurrence of his gout, I received a call from the MD in charge of the physical therapy department saying that Jim got up this morning, pain free after 2 days of prednisone for inflammation, and blew them all away with his walking. I went up to meet with the therapist at 3:30 pm so that she could show me how to stand in case he stumbled. After walking down the hall and tackling some stairs, they decided that he could go home instead of to a residential pt program. He will have some out patient therapy and he needs to rebuild his strength after 2 weeks of being in bed but they are all amazed, as I am, at how he has improved over the last 2 days. He will have one more blood test tomorrow to be sure that his Coumadin level is correct and then I'll bring him home! He has a slight amount of weakness in this right leg and will work on his writing with the right hand but over all he is in wonderful shape. He is now officially a heart patient and will have to monitor the blood to be sure the level stays where it should be. We will be home all weekend so give him a call.

Thanks again for all your support, calls, cards and most of all prayers. We are most grateful.

Dorothy
